Our events skills are offered as individual skills or as a combination of skills. Our skills are more suited to people who are events entrepreneurs or even aspiring events entrepreneurs.
We also offer events management services ranging from wedding planning and management of corporate events We conceptualise and manage events for corporate clients ranging from workshops, seminars, exhibitions and conferences of different size and scope.
We also offer small business consulting services including, Small Business Coaching, Business Mentorship & Incubation, Development of business plans and business profiles, Business Registrations, Business Branding & Marketing
The Entrepreneur
✅ Gurus Academy SA is a brain-child of one seasoned entrepreneur, Ms Tshephiso Makhafula. Tshephiso is an Award-Winning Entrepreneur, Business Coach and a Community Activist. She completed her studies from University of Pretoria, Stellenbosch University and UNISA respectively and also obtained a programme certificate from WITS School of Governance.
✅ She has worked both in private sector and government and the last job she had was that of a Deputy Director: Local Economic Development in the public sector. She then ventured into business.
✅ She is also the founder and the CEO of Mahlako Royal Group (Pty) Ltd, with the subsidiaries, Mahlako Royal Funerals (Pty) Ltd and Mahlako Royal Events (Pty) Ltd
✅ Tshephiso is a professional Wedding Planner a florist. She is also a self-taught graphic designer and a candle maker with an eye for details.
✅ It is through these companies that Tshephiso has managed to create job opportunities for local communities. Having been an entrepreneurship practitioner in the public service for many years, Tshephiso has developed a passion for business coaching which has seen many emerging entrepreneurs seeking business advise from her. She has been coaching entrepreneurs both emerging and established.
✅ In 2024 she was a recipient of the She Millionaire Africa Women Wealth Creation Award 2024 under Emerging Entrepreneur Category
✅ In 2025, Tshephiso has been selected as one of the women to join a programme called Standard Bank Basali Development Programme which aims to empower women in business. This is a programme that is running for 12 months and it is facilitated by Giving Wings.
